Conversations About Education 2015: New City, New School, New Language

Presented by The Indianapolis Public Library at Central Library

Educators, parents and the entire community are invited to discuss how immigration has changed Indianapolis and what its effect has been on schools. With nearly 70 languages spoken in some Marion County districts, some schools have adapted well, but others are struggling. Moderated by Chalkbeat Indiana reporter Hayleigh Colombo, this program will feature a panel of educators and experts who will explore the issues, challenges and opportunities for ESL learning. This program, to be held in Central Library's Clowes Auditorium, will be presented by WFYI, Chalkbeat Indiana and IndyPL.
