WATERCOLOR ARTIST’S EXHIBIT AT SUGAR CREEK ART CENTER’S 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY AUGUST 14, 2015

Sugar Creek Art Center will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary in August 2015 and they are thrilled to have artist, Susan Semenick, as their featured gallery exhibitor for the month. She is an award-winning watercolor artist, who has not only achieved success as a portrait and figure artist, but also as a landscape painter.

Susan has seen success as a finalist for the cover Competition of Watercolor magazine, and has also served as one of the very first Artists in Residence at Crater Lake National Park, Crater Lake, Oregon. She has studied with some of the leading watercolor artists in the country. Her hard work in the studio everyday is shown in her unusual use of color and her sense of composition.

Sue was a resident artist at Sugar Creek for many years before moving to Michigan, and now is returning by special request for this anniversary showing. There will be a special celebration opening of her show, “The Melting Pot,” on August 14, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Art Center, located at 127 S. Pearl St., Thorntown, IN. It is free to the public and refreshments will be served.
