Carl Fisher was a visionary co-founder of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and “Speedway City.”  But there is even more to his story!  The sportsman, entrepreneur, promoter and millionaire  was respected not only in Indiana but in the nation, and his influence exists to this day.  Storyteller Steve Etheridge illuminates Fisher’s achievements and flaws.  This program is intended for adults and older teens.  The Incredible Vision of a Half Blind Man:  Carl Fisher told by Steve Etheridge is part of the Sharing Hoosier History through Stories series sponsored by the Indiana Historical Society and Storytelling Arts of Indiana, Inc.  Co-sponsored by the Friends of Speedway Public Library and Old Speedway City Neighborhood Association.
