As part of the Library’s Summer Garden Series, individuals of all ages and familes are invited to a FREE workshop on plein air painting. This program will be outdoors in the East Garden. One of Indianapolis’ finest painters, Rita Spalding will conduct this FREE two-hour introduction to plein-air painting from 2pm-4pm at the Central Library in the garden area.  Rita’s keen eye for light and value produces still life pieces and portraits that have won numerous awards and are highly sought after.  Rita has exhibited in galleries from California to Florida and maintains a studio in Indianapolis at the Stutz Business Center.
