A Montana Artists Utopia: Out West with the Women of Basin – A Spirit & Place Event

2 p.m. –  4 p.m.

Join us for an interactive conversation guided by Gregory Hinton – creator and producer of Out WestTM, a national program series dedicated to LGBT history in the American West – featuring Montana jazz artist MJ Williams, creator of the Montana Artists Refuge which is located in a mountain mining town unaccustomed to strong women leading alternative lifestyles. Following the conversation, enjoy a jazz performance by Williams and a dream-sharing activity. This event is part of the 2015 Spirit & Place Festival (#SPIndy), which runs from November 6-15, 2015.

Program is included with museum admission. Pre-registration by calling 317.275.1310 is strongly encouraged, but not required. Presented by Eiteljorg Museum, IUPUI Faculty and Staff LGBT Council, IUPUI Multicultural Center, and Purdue University LGBTQ Center.
