Presented by Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at Hilbert Circle Theatre

From 2-6 p.m. the ISO opens its doors to the entire community to kick off the new season and to thank its patrons, fans, donors and sponsors for their extraordinary support. The day will include a wide range of music and activities, culminating in a free ISO concert.

SCHEDULE

Classical Revolution
Main Stage, 2-3 p.m.
A chamber group of ISO musicians that plays at the Chatterbox monthly performs Spanish/Latin influenced music.

MYO Chamber Group
Main Stage, 3:15-3:45 p.m.
MYO Celebrates 20 years of support youth and family success through music-making!

Catch the Canon
Main Stage, 3:45-4:20 p.m.
You play along with the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra on their signature tune the Pachelbel Canon in D – no experience necessary!

Teddy Bear Concert
Wood Room, 2:30-3:00 p.m.
Introduce your pre-schoolers to the string family with this Teddy Bear Series concert.

Violin Experience
Main Floor Lobby, 2-5 p.m.
Have you always wanted to play the violin? It’s not too late! Everyone is welcome to try their hand at playing a violin – various sizes will be available to accommodate different ages.

Symphony in Color Live
Second Floor Extended Lobby, 2:00-4:30 p.m.
People of all ages will be able to create 2 dimensional works of art inspired by ensembles of ISO musicians that will rotate throughout the afternoon.

30 Years of Yuletide
Main Floor Lobby, 2-5 p.m.
Take a photo with IPL Yuletide Celebration set pieces and meet a Yuletide mascot (or even try the costume on for yourself)!

Be a Santa!
Meet in Main Floor Lobby at 3:00 p.m. to go to the rehearsal hall from 3:15-4:00 p.m.
Learn the lively Santa Tap routine – a beloved tradition of the ISO’s Yuletide Celebration.

Inside the Violin
Main Floor Lobby, 2-5 p.m.
Representatives from Indianapolis Violins show the inner workings of the instrument.

MYO Play-a-Thon
Encore Lounge, 2-5 p.m.
MYO students ages 5-18 and their parents showcase what they are learning in the ISO’s youth and family development program that utilizes music-making to build skills for lifelong success.

History of the Hilbert Circle Theatre
Oval Promenade, 2-5 p.m.
Self-guided signs with historical facts about the Hilbert Circle Theatre.

Spooky Sound Effects
Oval Promenade, 2-5 p.m.
Hands on display of percussion instruments used to make sound effects.

Free ISO Concert
Main Stage, 5-6 p.m.
One hour concert conducted by Krzysztof Urba?ski.
