Jennie DeVoe

at The Warehouse

The Warehouse is proud to welcome Jennie DeVoe back by popular demand! Since her last show here sold out, we’ve got TWO showtimes to make sure everyone gets a chance to attend this sensational, up-close and personal listening room experience with Jennie DeVoe!

“Jennie DeVoe’s voice is smoked honey on a sultry summer evening…smooth, sweet and warm, steeped in the kettle of Blues/R&B – but with a rare and wonderful flavor all her own,” says singer/songwriter Krista Detor. “Only a handful of other girls will ever get to sound this good.” DeVoe, a native of Indiana, is touring behind her 6th studio album–and her 3rd recorded in England with producer John Parrish (Tracy Chapman, PJ Harvey). Called Radiator: the Bristol Sessions, it is her first album produced with the help of a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign, which raised over $35,000 from dedicated fans and music lovers. A fiercely independent artist, DeVoe has turned down many a major label offer (aside from a distribution deal with SonyRED), content to build a rock-solid career on her own label, Rubin the Cat Records.

Bonnie Raitt calls DeVoe, “A great singer-songwriter,” and, “One of the most talented and hardworking musicians I know.” Adds Howard Dukes of Soultracks Magazine,”…her songwriting captures the wittiness , world weariness, hope and simple brilliance that is blues music at its best.” However, she is “not a singer who is content to be bound by the limits of her genre.” Indeed, DeVoe’s style is self-described as Americana-Roots-Blues-Folk-Funk with a Hippie Flair, which has wowed audiences as an opener for greats like Gregg Allman, John Hiatt, Joe Cocker, Lucinda Wiliams, and many more. Attracting fans of all ages, Jennie DeVoe connects with an audience in a way very few other performers achieve. Regardless of the size or type of venue, the power of DeVoe’s talent, humor and personality create a magical intimate space, drawing the listener into an experience they won’t soon forget.
