Moderated by Travis DiNicola, the panel of local authors includes:

Dan Wakefield is a novelist, journalist and screenwriter whose best-selling novels Going All The Way and Starting Over were produced as feature films. Most recently he edited Kurt Vonnegut: Letters and If This Isn’t Nice, What Is?: Advice to the Young.

Barbara Shoup is the author of eight novels, including four for young adults, and the co-author of Novel Ideas: Contemporary Authors Share the Creative Process and Story Matters. Her books have received numerous awards and currently she is the Executive Director of the Indiana Writers Center.

Lou Harry, Arts & Entertainment Editor for the Indianapolis Business Journal, is the author or co-author of more than 25 books including Creative Block and The High-Impact Infidelity Diet. His produced plays include Lightning and Jellyfish and The Pied Piper of Hoboken. Lou is co-producer of Indy Actors’ Playground.

Jeff Knurek lives near Indianapolis and is an award-winning toy and game inventor, consumer product developer, puzzle creator, cartoonist and musician. Together with David Hoyt, they create the world’s favorite puzzles, including Jumble which is celebrating 60 years. Jeff and David created a Jumble just for the JCC and this year’s Ann Katz Festival of Books & Arts.
