What You See Depends on Where You Stand: a Workshop on Voice and Point of View with SJ Rozan

Presented by Indiana Writers Center at Marian University, Marian Hall, Rm 205

Instructor: SJ Rozan

SJ Rozan will lead a workshop focusing on that most essential and elusive element of writing, the voice. Through writing exercises and discussion, she will aid writers in finding ways to uncover and hone the right voice for each work no matter what genre you’re working in.

SJ Rozan, a native New Yorker, is the author of twelve novels. Her work has won the Edgar, Shamus, Anthony, Nero, and Macavity awards for Best Novel and the Edgar for Best Short Story. Bronx Noir, a short story anthology she edited, was chosen NAIBA “Notable Book of the Year.” SJ has served on the National Boards of Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime, and is ex-President of the Private Eye Writers of America. She speaks, lectures, and teaches, and she runs a summer writing workshop in Assisi, Italy. sjrozan.net
