Since 1989 Todd has been working in the international violin business and has been documenting the experience with his photography. Todd states, “My photographic ‘style’ comes straight out of the tradition of the ‘social document as art’ as practiced by Walker Evans.” He is interested in the print and the violin as Beautiful Objects. Todd formerly taught photography at Herron School of Art and Design and is now a full time luthier creating high quality violins for the international market. He applies the same attention to detail in both his photographic prints and his violins. Todd’s images were part of the 2014 Quadrennial Violin Competition of Indianapolis.
Also on display will be images by Tom Potter, Gayle Moore, and Nancy Frass
