The Ann Katz Festival of Books and Arts Kickoff Event: AN EVENING WITH KENNY ARONOFF

at Unknown

The JCC’s 17th Annual Ann Katz Festival of Books & Arts kicks off Wednesday, Oct. 28 with “An Evening with Kenny Aronoff.” The famous drummer and IU Jacobs School of Music graduate has worked with iconic musicians such as John Fogerty, John

Mellencamp, Elton John, Paul McCartney, B.B. King, Johnny Cash and many others. During this intimate

evening beginning at 7:30 p.m., Aronoff will perform live and share his keys to success from his 40-plus

years in the music business. $25 in advance; $30 at the door.

Aronoff will also teach a master class on Oct. 28 from 4-5 p.m. for $50 per person. Aronoff will discuss the

four concepts of drumming that apply to all styles of music and offer insights into functional practicing,

recording in studios, and preparing for live or studio work. Kenny will also address any questions from

participants about playing the drums or anything related to the music business.
