Katie Hudnall makes furnitural objects that tap into the delight that comes from seeing something work that shouldn’t and the beauty in something textured with imperfections then worn smooth through use. Hudnall received her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2009, she was the first Windgate Wood Resident at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her work has been included in numerous exhibitions and publications, including 500 Cabinets, Studio Furniture: The Next Generation, and Crafting a Continuum. She is an assistant professor at Herron School of Art & Design in Indianapolis and member of the board of the Furniture Society. Sarah M. Hurt Gallery
