Conservator Talk at the Eiteljorg

Conservator Talk at the Eiteljorg

at Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art

Artist Wilson Hurley’s majestic three-panel painting–October Suite: Grand Canyon, 1991–has greeted visitors inside the museum’s entrance for more than two decades. Now a team is working to conserve the iconic artwork before it is featured in the museum’s must-see Grand Canyon exhibition, opening March 26, 2016. Come and listen to a talk by Linda Witkowski, senior paintings conservator at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and learn more about painting conservation practices in museums. Saturday, Dec. 12, and Saturday, Jan. 9, 2-3 p.m.
