Would you like to know Indianapolis in a deeper way? Show it off to visitors? Help preserve and revitalize historic places? Indiana Landmarks might have a volunteer opportunity that would interest you.

On Saturday, Feb. 27, Indiana Landmarks hosts a recruitment session from 10 a.m. to noon that features quick conversations with current volunteers and staff who communicate the wide range of volunteer opportunities. We also invite you to express your particular interests so we can match you with opportunities you’ll find rewarding.

Indiana Landmarks volunteers lead walking and motorcoach tours of Indianapolis and its historic places, usher and assist in special events on our downtown campus, and work in our offices.

At the recruiting session, you’ll hear about the training and benefits Indiana Landmarks provides to volunteers, and have an opportunity to follow a docent on a tour of Indiana Landmarks Center to experience what it’s like to be a tour guide.

The recruitment session is free and light refreshments will be served.
