Multimedia Storytelling

Multimedia Storytelling

Presented by Indiana Writers Center at Indiana Writers Center

Instructor: Bridgette Richards

Come experiment with us as we test the boundaries of traditional prose storytelling through a combination of lecture, exercises, and workshop. With so many different mediums to choose from (novels, plays, music, art, scripts, poetry, etc.), and the popularity of collective multimedia stories like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, how much can we say modern storytelling has changed? And is there only one way we can tell our stories?

Don’t worry for those of you who think you can’t draw, I can’t either! We want to discuss and experiment with a combination of different writing platforms (poetry with prose, prose with art, playwriting with emails or letters, etc.). I’m not expecting any proficiency with anything other than Microsoft Word, but please bring any and all enthusiasm to play!
