Whose Story Is It Anyway: The Importance of Point of View

Whose Story Is It Anyway: The Importance of Point of View

Presented by Indiana Writers Center at Indiana Writers Center

Instructor:  Angela Jackson-Brown

There is nothing more irritating than reading a short story or novel and the author clearly doesn’t have a handle on whose story it is. This workshop is designed to help you understand point of view and why it is necessary to be consistent with point of view in your story. This workshop will answer questions like: What is point of view? What are the various types of point of view? How do you know if you are using point of view incorrectly in your story? How do you determine whose point of view the story should be told from?
