Children and families are invited to this outstanding series of free performances by Indy’s leading jazz musicians. They are a great way to share jazz music with children that will be fun for everyone! These hour-long programs are presented by the Learning Curve at Central Library in partnership with The Indianapolis Jazz Foundation and Indy Jazz Fest. This program, to be held in Central Library’s Clowes Auditorium, features a performance by DM Jazz 8. Eight is enough for that big band sound! Back by popular demand, entertaining co-leaders trombonist Rich Dole and drummer Gene Markiewicz will have everyone swinging along with this “little big band” of veteran jazz pros. Children will enjoy the variety of instruments, including trombone, drums, bass, piano, two trumpets, and two saxophones!
