Healing Arts Indy Presents paintings by Jane Corbin. Simple color combinations, smooth surfaces, shape, and line come together to celebrate the often overlooked architectural details of the urban landscape. Corbin highlights elements of various urban landscapes such as hand painted signage, rusted neon, old building facades lot by the angled light of the sun, and exciting linear arrangements occurring in spaces she encounters. Jane is inspired by her several years living in Georgia and in the everyday scenes of her Midtown Indianapolis neighborhood. She seeks to capture the charm of older eras which seems to be vanishing rapidly. Jane Corbin studied painting at Savannah College of Art and Design. With precision, she continues to portray these architectural vignettes; viewers can’t help but to slow down and contemplate these places and their own spaces in relation.

Healing Arts Indy Presents new paintings by Megan Jefferson. Bold color and rich texture infuse her compositions to give rise to familiar and distant landscapes and abstractions of life’s fleeting moments. Interpretation of light, color, and space are things that allow Jefferson to fuse real moments between paint and memory while allowing viewers to draw their own emotional response. Both past adventures and dreams of future travel are strong points of inspiration for Jefferson’s dreamscapes. To capture the overwhelming beauty around her by her expressive painting is to build a doorway back to those moments, visions and dreams granting viewers the freedom to be drawn into discovering their own narrative.
