Fairytales are often considered the building blocks for many modern stories. But what if you don’t want to just pay homage to those tales? What if you want to create a new one or retell an existing one? Learn what it takes to craft a fairytale retelling with characters who come to life on the page, settings that ignite the imagination, and plots that twist their ways into readers’ hearts. The class will delve into how to handle characters who are already well-loved and plots that have been retold through the ages. You’ll come away with the ability to craft a unique reimagining of your favorite fairytale or with inspiration to create a new one.
