Audition notice for Helene Hanff’s 84, Charing Cross Road directed by Marsha Grant. (our April/May show)

Auditions will be Sunday March 6th at 4:30 pm and Monday March 7th at 7:00 pm at Epilogue Players, Indpls. 1849 N. Alabama St.

Cast needed: 2 women age 20 to 60 for British roles; 4 men age 20 to 60 for British roles; 2 women in their 40’s for American roles. Show dates are April 29th through May 15th. Email ralphmarshagrant@gmail.com for more information.

Play summary:

The true and poignant story between an avid book lover and a book seller London. When a humorous script-reader in her New York apartment sees an ad in the Saturday Review of Literature for a bookstore in London that does mail order, she begins a very special correspondence and friendship with Frank Doel, the bookseller who works at Marks & Co., 84 Charing Cross Road.
