March 12 & 13, 2016

“A Place — or Places — for the Sacred”

Join us for a D’var Torah by award-winning author David Ebenbach.

Workshop, Sunday, March 13 from 10:30—noon:

“The Artist’s Torah: The Roots of the Artist in the Tree of Knowledge”

What makes a person an artist? What if we were to believe that art is part of all of us, part of what actually makes us human? David Ebenbach will explore these and other questions in this intriguing workshop.

David Ebenbach teaches literature and creative writing at Georgetown University. He is the author of two books of short stories (Into the Wilderness and Between Camelots), two books of poetry (most recently We Were the People Who Moved), and a non-fiction guide.

Please register in advance for the Sunday workshop by calling the synagogue office (253-3441) or sending an email to jhodes@bez613.org.
