This is a Casting Call for ADULT Actors, Dancers & Singers Must be 18 or older. 

Scheduling: 5 minute slots from 12p – 3p

Required:    1-min monologue, 1-song please bring sheet music and come prepared to dance

Description of Project: The Asante Children’s Theatre (ACT), a 501(c)(3) organization, has engaged Emmy-nominated, Winner of MTV’s best choreography for Beyonce’s “Who Run’s the World” video, and Indy’s own Jeffrey Page to direct and choreograph a new play entitled “GENIUS: To the beat of Stevie Wonder”.   It typifies the organization’s mission of using performing arts to develop life skills in youth and will also feature the talents of the ACT Academy performers (age 12-18 years old).

“GENIUS”…  What does it take to be one?  Can anyone be a genius or do you have to be born one?  Who is known as a genius?  Given the current climate of anger, frustration and survival, can we create an environment that would spawn a genius?  Our goal is to assemble a theatrical blueprint that will inspire others to see beyond their handicaps to recognize their genius potential.

**Weekly rehearsal schedule** – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 5pm – 10pm; Saturday: 11am – 7pm; Sundays 12pm – 6pm

7- Performance Dates:  Friday June 10, 8pm; Saturday June 11, 8pm; Sunday June 12, 4pm; Thursday June 16 8p; Friday June 17 8pm; Saturday June 18 8pm; and Sunday June 19, 4pm
