Join in this community discussion on helping struggling teens who are traumatized by the harsh realities in their lives. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a screening of the film, “Paper Tigers,” which chronicles how a school in Walla Walla, Washington has radically changed its approach to disciplining students. Following the film at 7:15 p.m., a panel of school and mental health professionals will join in a discussion moderated by Dr. Carlotta Cooprider. Panelists include Clete Ladd, Miriam Acevedo, Cindy Jackson, Ahmed Young and Aisha Tariga. This program is presented by WFYI, Teach Plus Indianapolis and IndyPL. This program will be held in Central Library’s Clowes Auditorium.
