Indy SurviveOars asked artists to paint, sculpt, carve, add metalwork or otherwise make art out of a Dragon Boat Paddle to celebrate hope and inspiration. Paddles are now on display in the Raymond James Stutz Art Gallery, and on the Indy SurviveOars website.
At the reception in the Raymond James Stutz Art Gallery on Friday, March 18, from 6-9 pm, the two winning artists will be awarded their cash prizes and bids will be finalized.
The SurviveOars are an Indy based breast cancer survivor group who participate in Dragon Boat racing to strengthen both physical and emotional health, endurance, self-confidence, and provide support for team members.
