Khaos Company Theatre is proud to announce the performance of Sophocles’ Oedipus the King directed by Artistic Director Kaylee Spivey Good. Oedipus the King is the first of the Theban Plays series which follows the family of Oedipus and their tragic tale. Khaos Company Theatre is producing all three plays of the Theban Series in their 2016 Season. Tickets for the future plays in the Theban series, Oedipus at Colonus and Antigone will be for sale at the Box Office at the discounted price of $15 with attendance at any Oedipus the King performance.
Oedipus the King performs at 7pm April 8, 9, 15 and 16 at Khaos Company Theatre, 3125 E. 10th St., Indianapolis IN 46201, in Suite K of the Clifford Corners Building (Corner of 10th and Gray Street.) Parking is free on the street or behind the building and doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets can be bought online for $18 guaranteeing a reserved seat at the best vantage point available upon the time of purchase at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2483518
or can be bought at the door for $20. KCT is offering Pay-What-You-Want Tickets on Friday April 15th when buying tickets at the door as part of our effort to ensure affordable access to the arts. Performances of Oedipus at Colonus are scheduled for June 10, 11, 17 and 18 and Antigone performances are scheduled for September 2, 3, 9, 10.
Khaos Company Theatre is located in the Historic Rivoli Park Neighborhood Redevelopment district and is the only professional theatre located in the newly declared Federal Promise Zone in Indianapolis.
