On April 28, the James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home will host award-winning poet, Bonnie Maurer, at the Billie Lou Wood Visitors Center for the second reading in their 2016 poetry series.
Maurer was raised on the poetry of the Hoosier Poet and will talk about Riley’s influence as well as read from her own work. She has authored several poetry anthologies, including Reconfigured and Bloodletting: A Ritual Poem for Women’s Voices. She has twice received the Creative Renewal Fellowship from the Arts Council of Indianapolis, and her work has appeared in multiple publications including the New York Times.
Light refreshments will be served.
