IndyFringe and Partnership for Lawrence will present “The Children’s Theatre Festival at the Fort” on July 9 & 10, 2016 from 2:00-6:00pm at Theatre at the Fort, 8920 Otis Avenue in Lawrence. Tickets are $15 per person or $50 for a Family 4-Pack.  Tickets serve as Festival Passes and include entry to all performances and access to buskers, street performers and food vendors for either Saturday or Sunday.  Individual tickets are also available at $30 each for a special Festival Showcase fundraising gala on Friday, July 8 at 7:00pm featuring 10-minute previews of each show in the festival as well as locally catered food and drinks. 

“The Children’s Theatre Festival at the Fort” is a new series of performances for families featuring six different theatre troupes presenting a variety of performances over two days.  The performing groups include The Royal Panto Players performing “The Frog Prince,” Conner Prairie performing “Electricity in Indiana,” Jason Adams performing “Circus,” national touring magician Jamahl Keyes, Fractured Fairy Tales’ “Cinderella” and a Mime performance by Luis Olivia.  The shows will perform once each on Saturday and twice each on Sunday on a rotating schedule.  In addition to the six 30-minute shows, there will be buskers and street performers as well as food and drink vendors throughout the festival.  Street events include fairies, dancers, living statues, giant puppets, face painters, balloon artists, chalk art activities, magicians and more.
