Lara Mimosa Montes, Callista Buchen & Nancy Chen Long Poetry Reading

Lara Mimosa Montes will be at our store to talk about her upcoming book, The Somnambulist. The Somnambulist, forthcoming from Horse Less Press in October 2016, is a hybrid poetry/memoir about a family in grief after the death of the author’s uncle. It’s a project anchored in memory, trauma, and addiction.

Nancy Chen Long is the author of the chapbook Clouds as Inkblots for the War Prone (Red Bird Chapbooks, 2013). You’ll find her recent and forthcoming work in Alaska Quarterly Review, Pleiades, Bat City Review, Superstition Review, DIAGRAM, and elsewhere. She lives in south-central Indiana and works at Indiana University.

Callista Buchen is the author of poetry chapbooks The Bloody Planet (Black Lawrence Press, October 2015) and Double-Mouthed (dancing girl press, April 2016).
She is the winner of DIAGRAM‘s essay contest and the Langston Hughes award, with work appearing in Harpur Palate, Fourteen Hills, Puerto del Sol, Salamander, Whiskey Island Review, and many other journals. She teaches writing at Franklin College in Indiana.
