Gluestick is a free and all-ages festival that focuses on zines and small publishing as well as paper-based artists that don’t work with booklets. It will feature 23 artists tabling from Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Chicago, Brooklyn, Anderson, and Bloomington. Ayun Halliday (Brooklyn) of The East Village Inky is our keynote participant and will be hosting a zine-making workshop on site, alongside Rad Grrls Club who will be hosting a girls’ comics workshop. Outside the 10 Johnson Ave. coffee shop there is a platform that will host both of our workshops (weather permitting), as well as an open poetry reading throughout the festival. One participant, who has displayed great heart in their work as well as skill, will be awarded the Brian Marshall Memorial Award. Some of our sponsors include The Department of Public Words, Get Dirty Ceramics, Black Acre Brewing, PRN Graphics, Irvington Vinyl, and Clark Giles at Your Realty Link.
