Art is all around us every time we head out into downtown Indianapolis! Join us as we take a casually paced bike ride through the city to search out and discover a variety of public art installations along the way.
We don’t think that even Alexander Ralston would have ever imagined Indy looking this good! We’ll be spending nearly all of our time within the portion of Indy that he designed back in 1821 as we check out art that spans over 100 years of our city’s history.
Artworks on the tour include murals, sculpture, electronic art, civic art on and around the Statehouse, and, of course, the iconic monument in the heart of it all. Arts Council Director of Public Art Julia Muney Moore will be our guide as we meander through the Mile Square.
Tour starts & finishes at Sun King Brewing (135 N College Ave, Indy 46202). After the public art bike tour we’ll chat about what we’ve seen over a complimentary pint courtesy of Sun King!
Advance Registration is $25 if you bring your own bike and $35 including a rental bicycle provided by Bicycle Garage Indianapolis. Tour capacity is limited so on-site registration is not guaranteed.
Tours are held rain or shine, but should we determine that dangerous weather conditions are likely we’ll be in touch to either offer you the opportunity to reschedule or receive a refund.
