Auditions: New Singer Auditions

Presented by Indianapolis Symphonic Choir at Clowes Memorial Hall, Butler Arts Center

The Indianapolis Symphonic Choir is comprised of more than 200 singers who perform the best choral-orchestral repertoire throughout Central Indiana. The 2016/2017 season begins in fall 2016 and marks the 80th Anniversary Season of the choral organization. The Symphonic Choir is the choral partner of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.

Singers audition in August 2016 for participation in the season. There are no financial dues to participate in the Choir – singers simply need to have the talent and the commitment to choral music to be a part of the Choir.

The 80th Anniversary Season includes: Festival of Carols, Handel’s Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, the Brahms Requiem, Gala Bel Canto Paris, Carmina Burana and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. Although the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir will make its return to Carnegie Hall on October 16, 2016, the singer roster for that performance already has been selected and we welcome new singers to join for concerts after Carnegie Hall.

More information about auditions is available on the Symphonic Choir’s website: www.indychoir.org.
