Indy Film Fest: Roadside Assistance

Presented by Indy Film Fest at Indianapolis Museum of Art

A girl waits by the side of the road, she looks far too well dressed to be a hitch-hiker, too beautiful to just be here with no car in sight. This is Malicia. She takes a long drag off her cigarette and leans back, hearing every facet of nature around her, leaves blowing, a stream bubbling. A car pulls up. Adam, an aging frat boy in a tiny car, offers her a ride, which she takes sparring with him somewhat flirtatiously. As soon as she gets in, something feels off. There are girly CDs by the radio, a Hello Kitty air freshener, an unmarked bottle of pills in the door pocket, and a purse shoved under the seat. A thump comes from the back seat. But Malicia is not who she seems either.
