TILT: An Arts & Humanities Mixer - Science Fiction and 16 mm Film

TILT: An Arts & Humanities Mixer - Science Fiction and 16 mm Film

Presented by Indiana Humanities and Indy Arts Council at Gallery 924

In celebration of National Arts & Humanities Month, Indiana Humanities and the Arts Council of Indianapolis are hosting TILT: An Arts & Humanities Mixer events on Tuesday, October 11, 18, and 25 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Gallery 924.

Each event in the series will reinvent the traditional lecture, pairing one arts expert and one humanities expert to discuss two completely different topics followed by a quirky and highly participatory Q&A from the audience.

OCTOBER 25: Science Fiction and 16 mm Film (Sarah Skwire and Kassim Norris)

Sarah Skwire, a Fellow at the Liberty Fund Inc., a nonprofit educational foundation and the author of the college writing textbook, Writing with a Thesis, will discuss science fiction. Kassim Norris, Film Director, Cinematographer, DI Colorist, and Arts Council of Indianapolis Robert D. Beckmann Jr. Emerging Artist Fellow, will explore why filmmakers are switching from digital back to film.
