Hoosier Playwright Month Event- Playwright Andy Black brings us a story about Pretty boy, an inmate at the North Central Corrections institute, decides to join the prison’s puppet theatre group. He intends to se its activities as a a cover to smuggle in contraband he can sell to get drugs. Once inside the group, however, its spirit and aims challenge his ideas about these intentions. He begins to wonder about his plans, which could potentially lead to his getting his hands on all the drugs he could ever want. As the puppetry process unfolds, he makes his own puppet: “Pretty Girl”. Pretty Girl begins to develop a mind of her own, and when she does, Pretty Boys’s life gets truly complicated.
