Darkroom Revelations will feature photographs from travels to the West – mountains, deserts, and ancient sites – taken by photographers Tom Potter, Gayle Moore, and Nancy Frass. Working in both traditional silver gelatin black and white film processes as well as in digital imagery, their fine art prints embody natural and cultural landscapes, botanicals, as well as the human landscape.

FC9 will feature “Quixotic Moments” by mixed media artist Andrew Koeling, 6–9p, Admission is free. FC9 is also open on Saturdays, 12–4p. “My art is centered around the juxtaposition of both the cerebral and the instinctual. By creating abstract work within epoxy resin, it allows for a piece to appear to have movement, but also to appear as if it is a moment eternally frozen in time.”

This exhibition, curated by Jason Scuilla and Jolynn Reigeluth, celebrates the life, work, and legacy of Kurt Vonnegut through the medium of printmaking. The art work of students graduating this year from Arsenal Tech will be featured in the June edition of Radial Point, a neighborhood art show at East Tenth United Methodist Church. Featured items include original paintings and handmade pottery that will be up for sale at affordable prices – with all the proceeds going to the students.Come see the talents – and support the graduating artists – at Radial Point on Friday, June 2. Rad Drew has made a mission of pursuing the barns throughout the Indiana countryside that entranced him as a child. Today, these barns are dying at an alarming rate, and some of them have, indeed, vanished. Join Rad Drew in his intimate exhibition of some of his favorite barn photographs that sensitively capture the essence of a time gone by.

Genna Pianki’s “Lost Connections” looks at the original canal path that was built in the mid nineteenth century throughout Indiana. These paintings show what the canal path looks like in today’s modern environment. This work was funding by the Individual Artists Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission. IDADA, the Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association, is a 501(c)(6) non-profit membership-based organization of artists, art galleries and arts-related businesses within the 20-block radius of the center of Indianapolis. The founders of the IDADA First Friday Art Tour, IDADA’s primary focus is the creation and marketing of unique and original local art.

IDADA is governed by its membership through a Board of Directors, including a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. All positions and activity are on a volunteer basis.
