Gluestick 2017

Gluestick 2017

Presented by Gluestick at The Irving Theater

Gluestick is a block party of sorts featuring booklets, prints, stickers, pins, publishing workshops, and more! The goal of Gluestick is to encourage community through small publishing. Whether this takes the form of a zine, chapbook, comic, etc. we want to give Indianapolis one day during the summer to meet other local and regional artists. Indianapolis has been a home for distros, DIY spaces, and collective bookstores for a long time and we want to honor and continue what they started.

The festival runs from 12pm-5pm on July 8th. Irvington is a historic neighborhood east of downtown Indianapolis. By having the festival in Irvington we hope to inform others of the area’s creative assets including a coffee shop that stays open late (perfect for late night art projects!) and a record store/book store curated by locally passionate individuals. Named for Washington Irving, the area also hosts a large scale Halloween festival every year.
