Ever wanted to start a blog, but have no idea what you would write about, how to set it up, or how to even get started?
Blogging is an excellent narrative tool to keep you writing daily, to help you share your observations, passions, fears, raise questions, engage an audience, make connections with readers and writers.
Blogging with purpose and confidence will 1) Showcase exemplar blogs from writers; 2) Explain how and in what style to use when blogging; 3) Help you identify a plan and purpose for your blog; 4) Walk you through how to design and set up your blog in WordPress; and 5) Finally, you will leave with an introductory blog post. This three-hour workshop requires that you bring a laptop, potential headshot, images and access to other images you have that you may want to include on your design, and a 100-word biography about yourself.
Cost: $75 nonmembers, $48 members, $42 student members/teacher members/senior members/military members/librarian members Limited 10 people.
