Mindfulness is a particular way of paying attention to present moment experience.  Practicing mindfulness techniques can help us observe how our minds work, grow in self-awareness, strengthen patience, and free us from the litany of judgmental thoughts.  These same techniques can also enhance our writing process by helping us stay attentive to the writing task, notice the ways our minds support or detract from the writing, gain understanding about our relationship with our writing. This 3 week class will provide opportunities to explore how mindfulness and writing can complement and support each other.
