Stacia Yeapanis: Sacred Secular
Inspired by private worship spaces and home decor, Sacred Secular is an immersive environment containing 3 sites for contemplation of painful human emotions. Through improvisation in the gallery, these sites will blend together as vegetation overlaps in a park. “I prefer the floor to the wall; I seek to engage the body as much as the mind. I want viewers to crouch and even kneel for a closer look at the lush, overwhelming detail. I seek to introduce spaciousness into the epidemic of busyness.”
Sarah M. Hurt Gallery

Jake Sneath: After Image
“The desire for repeated experiences of beauty and wonder drive my photographic exploration. Through experimental photography processes and installation art, I create opportunities for a certain type of light to be present to the eye. Within controlled spaces, viewers experience sensations of color and beauty. Visions of color emanating from a surface simulates the photographic process of working in the darkroom.”

Greetings from the Press: An Aussie/Hoosier Printmaking Exchange
The 67th Street Printmakers are partnering with Australian Printmaking groups: PressNorth Printmakers (Townsville- Queensland) and Firestation Print Studio (Armadale-Victoria) to share a print exhibition. These Australian groups yearly exchange postcard sized prints with an international partner to share and extend the diversity of all members’ innovative printmaking techniques and transferrable skills. It also encourages new friendships with each organization’s members. Past shared shows included groups from: Cork, Ireland, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand and Tsubata , Japan.
About 67th Street Printmakers: We are a community of artists brought together by our love of printmaking. We met through our years of studio time at the Indianapolis Art Center, and have been dedicated to sharing our art and the various methods of printmaking ever since.
