During this two part series, our presenters Sally Perkins and Ellen Dunnigan will guide participants through a process that will help them to understand the value of telling stories of their business or not-for-profit. Participants will learn how to identify the target audience(s) as well as the purpose in telling the story to a particular audience(s). Participants will learn the elements of effective stories as they discover and shape at least one great story about their business or not-for-profit.
During the second session, participants will refine the stories generated in session one. The focus will be specifically on the “oral” telling of stories, knowing that if you can tell your story orally, you can then translate it to effective digital and written formats. Participants will also learn and practice some specific, easy-to-implement techniques to tell the story orally for maximum impact.
