Attend the opening of a traveling exhibition probing the complexity of the Japanese American confinement site in Newell, California. A keynote talk will be presented by Dr. Karen Inouye, Indiana University professor of Asian American Studies in the Department of American Studies, who will address the tribulations and sufferings incurred during this time period. Also enjoy refreshments and the music of Garret Uyeno. This free program is presented in partnership with the Japanese American Citizens League. This program will be held in Central Library’s Riley Room.
