Civil War: James Davy's Civil War Diary

Adults and families are invited for this special Civil War presentation that will include readings from the Civil War diary of James Davy, an Indiana volunteer who fought in eleven battles, including those in the Vicksburg campaign, and recorded his daily experiences in four diaries that remain in the possession of his family. The readings, as well photos of battlegrounds, will be presented by Davy’s great-great grandson, Meredith Wilson. The program also will feature Civil War songs and fiddle tunes performed by Judy Wilson and Charles Joray. This program is part of the Lawrence Branch’s 2017 Travelogue Series. Refreshments will be provided.
