Everyone knows a male Diva, right? How about a male Diva Singer?
DIVOS (the Men) will include pieces by nine choreographers, all inspired by the music of their favorite male singers or groups. Seven of those choreographers are DK dancers. Their pieces received a workshop in August at the 2017 IndyFringe Festival. In addition, Nicholas A. Owens will choreograph to the music of Prince, and DK Artistic Director David Hochoy will create a piece to songs sung by Sir Elton John. This will be a very personal program, delightfully mixing humor, heartbreak and hope, plus showcasing the company’s beautifully athletic dancers.
