On Sunday, September 24, we’re kicking off our annual Banned Books Week festivities with a discussion on censorship in the publishing industry.
Join us as Indianapolis native and long-time Indiana Business Journal publisher Mickey Maurer discusses his experiences with censorship, how it affects the publishing industry, and what this means for our First Amendment rights.
Following the discussion, KVML will host a reception to name the KVML Art Gallery, home to several of Vonnegut’s hand-signed artworks, as the Frank and Katrina Basile Community Room!
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet our Banned Books Week prisoner of censorship, all the way from #Tralfamadore, Dr. Greg Bravehorse.
This event is free and open to the public!
