Wild Style

Presented by Newfields at Indianapolis Museum of Art

$8 Members / $12 Public

Capturing the earliest days of hip-hop in New York, Wild Style follows the story of tagger Zoro (Lee Quiñones) who is commissioned to paint the stage for a rapper’s convention. The film features graffiti and hip-hop pioneers including Lady Pink & Zephyr—artists featured in the IMA’s City as Canvas exhibition. On Sunday, Oct. 29, join a film discussion in the Beer Garden for Reads and Reels: Book and Film Discussion Club, when we discuss Wild Style and Graffiti Live: Beyond the Tag in New York’s Urban Underground. (1983, dir. Charlie Ahearn, 82 mins., R)
