Fresh from her award-winning run at the Hollywood Fringe Festival (WINNER of Encore Producer’s Award, nominee for Soaring Solo Award and Valley Theatre Award), Indy native and actor/writer Kate Huffman (Fresh Off the Boat, Castle) returns to Indianapolis for an extremely limited engagement.

Through 18 characters and multi-media effects, Huffman guides us through two decades of living with an OCD-instilled eating disorder that requires her to live by a strict set of rules and rituals based around numbers and eternal body hatred. Charm, wit, and giddy self-deprecation entice us through the journey of a very young girl who stumbles upon a life-long, nihilistic frenemy. I’M TOO FAT FOR THIS SHOW presents an opportunity for all people with obsessions, neuroticism, or negative self-talk to laugh at themselves. Huffman is masterfully guided by director Scout Durwood (Mary + Jane).
A Hoosier through and through, Huffman is a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas and Cathedral High School. She spent her formative years romping around Butler Tarkington, Broad Ripple, Meridian Kessler, and many other regions of Indy. She took tap lessons at Jordan Dance Academy, sang with ICC, and played co-ed sports at Tabernacle and Shortridge. She couldn’t be more thrilled to be bringing her show to her hometown.
