As writers, we are always told to write what we know. But what if you want to write about characters who are nothing like you? Characters that have magical powers or characters who lived in the 1700s. Or maybe you want to write about a character who is a brain surgeon or an astronaut, and you are a secretary or a teacher. How do we make those characters sound authentic when they are nothing like us? This workshop is designed to give you the tools to not only write what you know more effectively but to also write what you don’t know in a way that readers would never pick up on this fact.
