With over 60 artists and art businesses, the Circle City Industrial Complex has become a destination for art appreciators and supporters of local work. Just northeast of the Mass Ave Art and Theatre Cultural District, at 1125 Brookside Ave., the CCIC First Friday programming is a must-see stop, while events and viewable hours continue throughout the month.

The CCIC is accessible off of 10^th Street, near the North Split, and also via the Pogue’s Run Trail, connecting to both the Monon Trail and the downtown Cultural Trail system.

Schwitzer Gallery
The Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association (IDADA) will exhibit their final Membership Exhibition. With about 30 pieces on display from nearly 20 artists, juried by Sandy Gooding, the Membership Exhibition will offer an overview of the artists that have made IDADA work and made Indianapolis thrive over these last 15 years. The exhibit will be viewable until Saturday, November 18^th. A closing reception, the IDADA Annual Meeting, will be held on Thursday, November 16^th, 7pm, in the exhibit space, to celebrate the IDADA membership. Awards for the juried show will be presented at that time. The Schwitzer Gallery is located on the second floor, accessible from the North Studios entrance.

Arts & Images by Anthony Armstrong
Anthony Armstrong is a self-taught abstract painter and photographer. For November, he highlights images of travel, street photography and human interest subjects. A chef by trade, and a photo enthusiast by hobby, Armstrong has grown to include abstract painting as another outlet of expression. In his photography, he prefers to work in black and white, so that the viewer will see other elements of the image, in the absence of color. Armstrong’s studio is located in South Studios.

Michele Burns
Michele Burns and Kurt Kriese will share the evening in Studio B17. Kriese creates stained glass work, and Burns creates “Nightlight Art,” photoluminescent paintings and mobiles. Studio B17 is located in the South Studios.

Darkroom Revelations – Gallery C7A
“Collaboration” continues into November, with a set of prints that combine the figurative work by Tom Potter and Gayle Moore’s nature photography into one image. The gallery will also showcase “The Olden Days,” by Tom Potter, Gayle Moore, and Nancy Frass. Working in both traditional silver gelatin black and white film processes as well as in digital imagery, their fine art prints embody a variety of natural, cultural, and human landscapes as well as botanical images. Five Seasons Studio Gallery
Freshly returned from the Saint James Art Show in Louisville, with a third place ribbon in overall art, knowledge, and technique, Martha Nahrwold presents “Trees of Autumn,” mixed media and marbled impressionism work inspired by the rich, golden, and blazing colors of fall. Nahrwold knows that all too soon, they’ll be blown away, and she reminds us to appreciate and enjoy the beauty of life every day. Nahrwold also has a piece in the 100^th Anniversary Indiana Artists show at the Brown County Gallery in Nashville, Indiana, for the month of November. Five Seasons Studio Gallery is located on the first floor of the North Studios.

Full Circle Nine Gallery
“McCrary’s Majestical Abstracts,” a posthumous collection of Thomas McCrary’s work, facilitated by his daughter, Ranna Johnson, will be the feature for November. Thomas McCrary died suddenly in 1973, at the age of 43, while pursuing an Art Education degree at the Herron School of Art. He had been an architect and interior designer by trade, but had recently returned to school. Johnson has been collecting McCrary’s work, over the years, through family and friends, and describes her father’s work as modern art with a personal twist. Nancy Lee Designs
Jewelry and metal artist Nancy Lee will be presenting “Shine and Grit,” enameled paintings on copper, as well as a new collection of jewelry, while photographer Rad Drew will present his latest selection of prints, based on his recent travels. Nancy Lee Designs is located on the first floor of the North Studios.

M10 Studio
M10 Studio will continue the featured work of Indianapolis photographer Ginny Taylor Rosner. “Our memories intertwine producing an affinity with our surroundings and provide connections to others when we are separated,” said Taylor Rosner. Kenton Pratt
Freshly back from an ocean cruise, working as a glass blower, Pratt is a renaissance man, continuing his work in glass-blowing, and also working in book-making, painting, knitting, and pottery. Featured in November will be a series of paintings of wool socks. Pratt knits two pair, gives one to a friend, while he wears the other. The subject of the painting is the pair he has worn, unfolding an interesting story as told by the artist. Pratt’s studio is located on the second floor of the North Studios.

Ruckus Makerspace
Ruckus Makerspace will start the evening with a social mixer hosted by Voices for Choices. Maker Youth Foundation and LINE+form Atelier have partnered up to help teach kids to make cat toys for FACE Animal Clinic. Drinks will be served, and Esteliux Mexican Food Truck will be on hand. Maker Loran Bohall will be featured.
