Nora Spitznogle Talks about Second Helpings

Presented by Indianapolis Propylaeum at Indianapolis Propylaeum

While Thanksgiving is fast approaching, it is a good time to be mindful of Indianapolis families who may not have enough to eat. Nora Spitznogle, Senior Director of Program for Second Helpings, Inc. will join us for Prop Day on Wednesday, November 15 to share the story of that much needed food delivery organization. She oversees the Hunger Relief, Training, and Food Rescue programs as well as the volunteers and partner agencies at Second Helpings. She assists the program directors with the development, administration, and evaluation of programs that further the organizations mission.

Spitznogle is an Indiana native, growing up on a farm in Boone County where she learned something about food production. She graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management, working in the casual dining sector before coming to Second Helpings. She is a columnist for the Broad Ripple Gazette and a regular contributor to NUVO Newsweekly.

The luncheon at noon, followed by this special program is $25 for Propylaeum Historic Foundation members and $30 for nonmembers. Reservations are required at 317-638-7881 option 3 or email eventsattheprop@gmail.com by Noon, Friday, November 10th, 2017.
