Breakfast of Champions: Sun, Moon, Star Performanc...

Presented by Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library at The Athenaeum

This year’s VonnegutFest includes a performance of Sun, Moon, Star by the wonderful Young Actors Theatre! Head over to the Athenaeum, designed by Kurt’s grandfather Bernard Vonnegut, on Saturday November 11 to begin celebrating Kurt’s birthday and the world’s only VonnegutFest!

Sun, Moon, Star by Kurt Vonnegut and Ivan Chermayeff is the only children’s book Vonnegut ever wrote. YAT actors in grades four through eight will perform in this unique Vonnegut retelling of the Nativity story. YAT high schoolers will follow with a Vonnegut Tribute Collage.

Coffee and breakfast items are available for sale at Coat Check Coffee on the first level of the Athenaeum. Following the short performance, we’ll be selling Vonnegut’s book – a perfect gift for the upcoming holidays!

This event is child friendly so bring the whole family to see this one of a kind performance!

Join us for the world’s only VonnegutFest
Every year, the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library hosts the world’s only VonnegutFest. This Indianapolis-wide festival champions the power of the arts and humanities to better us as individuals and as a society.

As Kurt said, “Think of what a paradise this world would be if men were kind and wise.”

This year’s three day festival runs from November 9-11, 2017.
